History of the Fawn Ragdoll
Like Cinnamon, the fawn allele was not part of Ann Baker's foundation cats. It entered the breed later and remains uncommon today. Because Fawn requires two recessive alleles—cinnamon plus dilution—it is produced only through intentional, carefully planned breeding. Leo, King, Fawn Point Cherubim
What Is a Fawn Ragdoll?
Fawn Ragdolls show soft beige points on the face, ears, tail, and legs. Their torso is usually pale ivory or cream, creating a subtle, elegant look. Compared to Cinnamon, which is warm and reddish, Fawn is lighter and dustier in tone. Like all Ragdolls, kittens are born white and gradually develop their points.
Eye Color
Fawn Ragdolls always have blue eyes in the traditional division, maintaining the breed's hallmark look.
Paw Pads and Nose
Pads and nose leather in Fawn cats appear soft beige-pink. Patterned cats may have mottled paw pads, particularly in tortie expressions.
Temperament and Personality
Like all Ragdolls, Fawns are affectionate, laid-back, and thrive on companionship. Their gentle appearance is matched by the breed's famously calm temperament.
Grooming and Care
Fawns require the same care as other Ragdolls: weekly brushing, regular nail trims, and basic coat upkeep. Their light coloring looks best when the coat is clean and brushed.
